GRAFHAM WATER, SUNDAY, 6th July 2008

Dear Angler,

The Interclub Floating Line Competition was introduced by GWFFA in 2005 in a friendly competition format involving local clubs where all would fish with floating lines, and as many anglers from each club would be able to fish as wished to but with only the top 6 counting towards the club’s team score.  This format has worked well with the event growing in support from anglers and local clubs.

From the success of last year and interest from you that this event should continue we are pleased to announce the ICFLC Competition for 2008 and invite you and your club’s participation.

Fifty boats have been allocated to the event which will include a floating line only, informal, friendly competition, incorporating a range of individual and team prizes. The top 6 weights of each club will count towards the team event.  The competition will include an individual element to the competition.  A meal, presentation and social will follow.

Costs for the day are for boat and 2 course evening meal and a £2 contribution towards the prize fund.  Fishing permits will be additional or the use of season ticket as appropriate. Costs are: £24.00 per angler which represents excellent value for participants.

The GWFFA committee hopes that you will give your support to the event.  For GWFFA members please reserve your place by forwarding a cheque payable to ‘GWFFA’ and completing the enclosed application form.  For participating clubs I would ask the club to forward as soon as possible a cheque reserving the number of fishing places required and to complete as far as possible the details of competing anglers. Please note that names of competing anglers will be required prior to the day.

We look forward to an excellent day’s fishing and interclub fellowship.

Yours sincerely

Mark Brinkman
